Project Experience
App Developer, Regional Produce Operation
The Problem
Operations ran on a shared Excel workbook. Only one person could edit it at a time, so people constantly locked each other out or overwrote each other's changes. It also wasn't connected to the ERP, so managers couldn't see what was happening across the operation in real time. Getting the full picture meant manually combining the data.
What I Built
I built a system to replace it: one place for all the data, made for multiple people to work in at the same time, with validation built in so entering bad data simply isn't possible. Reporting runs in the same app in real time, so decisions get made using real data and better metrics. Building it also meant writing new SOPs for how the team enters and processes data, improving integrity and accuracy at the source.
Analytics
It also pulls together data that used to live apart: receiving records that were previously in Excel, ERP data, and labor data, all in one place. That gives visibility into discrepancies between reported and actual produce quality, differences that directly affect profit, and helps management see exactly what's being gained or lost on every grading decision.
Where It Stands
It's built and tested with management's input and support, and rollout is scheduled for next season when the operation ramps back up.
Clarion: Internal Tooling for Kuenzi Consulting
I developed Clarion, a desktop app that runs a small consulting practice end to end: clients, projects, and invoicing in one place, built to run on a local PC.
The Problem
Generic invoicing software isn't built for a small consulting practice. It comes with recurring subscription fees, puts a third party in charge of your financial data, and gives you no clean way to bill clients in Mexico in a different currency without extra workarounds.
What I Built
I built a desktop invoicing and client-management app from scratch: Python and Flask on the backend, SQLite for storage, packaged as a native Windows app that runs offline as a single file with no installer required. It handles clients and projects across different billing types, invoices in both USD and MXN, tracks partial and full payments, and generates branded PDF invoices that reflect what's actually been paid. It also backs itself up automatically to a folder I control, using SQLite's own backup process so every copy is a clean, consistent snapshot. That keeps the financial data protected without it ever leaving my own control.
Result
It's in active use running invoicing for my own practice right now, fully offline, with no subscription and no third party ever touching the live data.

Connected to Clarion's live data, this Power BI dashboard pulls revenue, expenses, project activity, and top customers into one view that's always current, backed by a real data model and DAX measures.
What It Shows
Total revenue, expenses, and completed projects at a glance, a revenue trend over time, revenue broken out by billing type, the top customers by revenue, and a revenue-to-cash view showing how much of recognized revenue has actually been collected.
